Working with Me
Complimentary Session
Book your Complimentary Session at the bottom of the webpage. You might be curious about what it is like working with me or have health concerns that you would like to address with your lifestyle. You may want to get a feel of what it is like working with me. We can explore what you want to focus on. Where are you in your life and where you want to go? I’ll explain how I can assist you with the process. If we both feel like it is a good fit, we set up our Initial Session. Previous clients can request one complimentary session per year.
Goal Setting and Agreements
We are now really getting clear on how to get where you want to go based on what we think makes sense for you. We have a clear idea of what your concerns are, the potential steps you can take to improve your health, the time, and resources you are willing to put into it, and a realistic sense of what may come up along the way. Goals are typically broken down into process goals or daily/weekly steps that will lead you towards improved health.
This is a process and we focus on improvement, not perfection.
Initial Session
Once confirming you would like to book your Initial Session; I will invite you to my Practice Portal where you will fill out intake forms so that I can get an even better picture of how to assist you. The session will last about 90 minutes and will include a basic plan to improve your health based on your goals, symptoms, health history, and my impression of where your greatest opportunities lie. This will include suggested functional lab testing if requested, supplement suggestions if requested, and a few recipes chosen specifically for you, as well as general lifestyle suggestions.
Investigation and Findings
If you have chosen to investigate healing opportunities, we can explore findings that have come to light based on functional lab testing. Once uncovered, functional imbalances in areas such as your microbiome, mitochondria, or detoxification systems can be addressed through effective natural protocols that can clear the way to improved health. This service fills the gap between trying to generally live a healthy lifestyle and needing medical attention. The more we understand what is getting in your way, the more empowered we are to change it.
Response and Prioritization
Suggestions aren’t enough. We must understand how you respond to them practically and emotionally. What may be appealing to one person may not make sense to another. Our relationship is a partnership so it is critical that I understand how you are receiving your suggestions so we can personalize the plan for you. Prioritization reflects your life circumstances and values. The clearer we can get on what is most important, the more effective the process becomes. I will listen to your concerns and ask questions designed to build awareness and momentum.
Implementation and Accountability
A plan is meaningless without follow-through and accountability. The number of distractions competing for our attention and energy has never been greater. This is a significant threat to your progress because it is exceedingly difficult to stay focused and maintain the direction of your chosen path. Regular checking in on how you are implementing your plan and brainstorming on how to improve and overcome obstacles is what we focus on at this stage. We also re-assess if your plan needs to be adjusted based on new information.
Follow-up Sessions
In our follow up sessions we build on what we discussed in the initial session and focus on key lifestyle changes, practical implementation, and accountability. We also track what is working or not, why, and if we need to adjust or reassess your plan.

Investigate and Uncover.
Gut Dysbiosis and Pathogens.
All disease begins in the gut, said Hippocrates nearly 2,500 years ago. Our digestive tracts are not only absorbing nutrients, but they also provide a barrier against the absorption of harmful substances such as pathogens, toxic substances, and inappropriately sized food particles that wreak havoc on our immune system. The GI tract is home to our microbiota which contains more genetic information and cells than we have in the rest of our bodies. It dramatically influences our well-being. We can investigate healing opportunities in your gut to improve your health.
Mitochondrial Function, Yeast, and Mold.
Our cells are powered by organelles called mitochondria. They not only produce energy for our body but they help inform our cells how to focus that energy. Mycotoxins found in mold and other toxic substances harm our mitochondria leading to loss of resilience, energy, and brain function. Certain lab tests offer clues as to how much toxic load you have and the amount of mitochondrial dysfunction. With this knowledge, we can start to address where these toxins are coming from and how you can remove them from your body and environment.
Immune Reactions to Common Foods.
Are you eating foods that are provoking immune responses? Is your immune system getting overwhelmed by the foods you eat on a regular basis? Are these foods breaking down your intestinal lining and then overloading your liver. This common dysfunction is one of the main triggers for autoimmunity as well as symptoms ranging from skin issues to abdominal pain, and brain fog. Investigating what is going on allows us to learn how to calm down your immune system so that it can function appropriately and focus on deactivating pathogens instead of responding to your food.
